Jess is back on the hunt for more cold-blooded killers. He first heads to Halifax, Texas, in search of Milton Bashir. After he successfully catches and kills Bashir, he’s on to the next man on his hunt list, Leonard Gish.
Meanwhile, United States Marshal Frank Reedy begins to get messages about town marshals being murdered and their badges ripped off their shirts as some sort of message.
After catching Gish, Jess takes his body to the town of Monroe, to turn in to the law there. When he arrives, he quickly discovers that their town marshal has been murdered and his badge has been ripped from his shirt.
Reedy sends a message to Jess, assigning him the task as a U.S. Marshal of finding out who’s killing town marshals and taking their badges. He’s instructed to travel to the town of Arcadia, Texas, and speak with Marshal Jake Pennington there.
When Jess finds out who’s responsible for the murders and the reason why he’s doing it, he’s torn between what he feels is right, and what he must do under the law when he’s wearing the badge.
